After market rear shelf speakers for 99 W210 non-Bose

I have a couple of vibrating rear speakers and rather than stick in a couple of used that may develop same problem soon I'd like to install some new ones that wire in relatively easily without too much modification. Any ideas or experience here?

Check your intake pipes often!

Doing my routine intake pressure test I found a rather large leak. Just a heads up for people to check their hoses as the age of the car is showing now. A fault like this won't throw a code and the car would run fine as the leak is before the MAF sensor. The only thing you would notice is lower boost pressure and less power. This pipe links the bypass valve to the outlet of the supercharger and luckily MB still makes this pipe new. Part number 1110980483 Looks like it failed due to years... Check your intake pipes often!

Light bulbs for tail/brake lights for my 91 129

I have a couple of tail/brake light bulbs that are burned out on my 1991 129. I went to the parts house yesterday to buy new bulbls but none of the bulbs fit the sockets in my tail/brake light brackets. Are these bulbs proprietary? Are they avaialbe from another source other than the local Mercedes Benz dealer? Thank you

W210 E240 Facelift 2.6 Heavy Steering

2001 ML320 steering too light at highway speeds

I just bought a 2001 ML320 with 70K on it. Looks brand new. I didn't drive it too much since a dealer was selling it. Later noticed that the steering never gets heavy as it gets up to highway speeds. Need help with radiator removal.

Happy new year all. Today I'm replacing the radiator in my 2002 ML500. Everything is disconnected and the old radiator is ready to come out. The problem I'm having is get the bottom "legs" out of the rubber grommets at the frame. Do I just pull up from the top or push up from the bottom? In all the videos I've seen they just pull the radiator out. Any help is appreciated.

Throttle Body Cleaning: Is it Necessary?

I've spent quite a bit of time researching this particular procedure and I am seeing mixed answers across the board. Is it necessary to clean the throttle body every now and then? Or is it best to leave it alone unless I am getting specific issues pertaining to the throttle body? My C230 currently has 135k and there is no evidence of it ever being cleaned. Is this considered a 'maintenance item'? If so, how often should it be done?

I've spent quite a bit of time researching this particular procedure and I am seeing mixed answers across the board.

Wow it seems like theres not one website worldwide that can list where the ABS pump relay is located in my 2005 W164 ML500. But not just where the fuse boxes are but which friggn relay it actually is. Whats the big weirdass secret ? "oh, i know but... People its not as top secret as Mercedes make it out to be. I have a 1985 W123 300D naturally aspirated (non turbo) diesel saloon VIN: WDB 1231302A034762 Engine No.: 617 912 22 156 661 The previous owner said it had been rebuilt about 10 years ago and that it had sat untouched for the last eight years I removed the prechambers as some were leaking around the ring The prechambers I removed look to me to be turbo ones, which I assume would not be correct, however I really have no idea The question is, will this matter? I've spent the past week trying to correct the transmission leaks on my 1987 420SEL. I replaced the crush washers on the various test ports, replaced the shifter shaft seal, installed a new transmission pan and gasket, and replaced an o-ring on an undocumented shaft (passenger side) which serves as a pivot point and internal attachment for the bowden cable. R129 keys

I have a 2000 R129. my key is all beat up. I can not clone the key with an after market blade key and Mercedes does not have a key supplier. I do not care about the RF buttons. I just want to be able to start the car. How do you bypass the key chip security.

Another newbie question - Timing Chain

A quick recap of my situation. I bought a 1975 450SL two weeks ago. It has 133,000 miles and no indication of the timing chain being replaced. Last week, I did a valve lash adjustment on it. The condition under the covers was great overall, the previous owner must have been pretty good about regular maintenance. However, the chain was loose on the right hand side (facing the engine.) So much so that it has slapped the aluminum near the cam gear and worn a chain shaped profile in it. So... Another newbie question - Timing Chain

Of course, no time or intention to replace the engine, I just want to get rid of it, maybe somebody can use it for parts, everything worked fine until that cylinder found a new way out of the block. Automatic Volume Adjustment is Always On 2021 GLE 350

A friend like my W220 S500 so well that he bought a W221... Unfortunately, he now has an Airmatic problem - the front has dropped, and the system will not raise the car to normal ride height. The compressor would run, but there was no air being sent to the right front strut, even though it was very low. Recirculation flap noise C400

Whenever I turn on the AC recirc or the auto stop/start kicks on to activate recirc, I hear the (flap?) motor creak. I assume I can lubricate it, but does anyone know or have done this before? I also assume I need to remove the glovebox to get to it?

E2e2 code 9003 right low beam is faulty

I've been trying to diagnose right side HID that went out. Right SAM stored code 9003 E2e2 right low beam is faulty or line to component has open circuit. I tried swapping in a new ballast, no dice. Swapped left and right ballast, right side light still out. Swapped left and right bulbs, right bulb still out. High beam and blinker still function. I would appreciate any new ideas. Hi, I was hoping not to have to post this thread, but unfortunately, I do. To have this clear once and for all; which cylinder bank is refered to as we are talking about bank 1? Most of the times, it's the one with the cylinder closest to the front bumper. Lately I experienced a sudden loss of power, OBD-II indicated cylinders 10-12 to be misfiring. Driver seat moves by itself and now stuck

Hi, I have the SL 320 -94 with the seat switch without the memory function. I know that my seat switch for the driver seat is not working perfectlyin the past and I have been looking for a used PN 129 820 27 10. Yesterday when starting driving the driver seat started to move forward during driving.. Quite dangerous.. But the only thing tha moved the seat was either moving forward or leaning forward, whatever you tried to do. So now the seat is stuck in the most forward and lean forward... Are the Cup Holders really bad?

I'm strongly considering a R230 but, as insane as it may sound, I'm rather concerned that the cup holders are just not that useable at all. My wife and I generally always travel with a Tervis or water bottle and are really curious about how the cup holders, and everything else around them, function with two bottles or cups in place . 2015 GLK250 BlueTec Emission Recall problem

I have a 2015 GLK250 BlueTec. Has 52,000 miles. They did the emission recall in June 2021. Its smoking over right front tire. (Not out of the exhaust. It's been in and out of Dealerships since then. No one has been able to find the problem til yesterday. They said "we found the adblue injector in the exhaust intermittently leaking." Clk 320 Problems Started with flat battery overnight for no aparent reason . recharged fully only 1 year old but on driving no display on dash at all . Eventually speedo & rev counter came back .After next start temp & fuel gauges came back & the clock . Trunk not closing completely

My trunk hatch doesn't close correctly lately. It moved perfectly fine but when it gets to the bottom, many times it doesnt latch. When it was under warranty i had em look at it and they said they adjusted it and it was better. It started happening again lately so i had the dealership look at it and do the same "adjustment". They charged me for an hour labor and its worse now. The technician said it either needs a new latch or seal.... It seems like it functions properly it just wont... Trunk not closing completely

Throttle Cable Clip Inside Firewall?

On a 1995 E320 Wagon: The clip holding the accelerator cable to the firewall broke, and I've had a hard time identifying it on EPC. That white clip snaps into the side of the firewall. Anybody have any ideas on what that part might be, or how to identify it?

Fuel meter gauge won’t reset after full tank.

Hi, I have a clk 200 k c209 2002. I have a problem with the fuel gauge. When the gauge go down to low fuel, (spare tank light lit) it doesn't mater if I fill it up. The gauge won't move. But hers the fun part. If I remove the negative cable on the battery and put it back, the gauge shows the right amount again. This only happens when the light go on for spare tank. Not if I fill it up before the light goes on. I'm leaning on a bad relay that won't reset the gauge? But I would appreciate any... Fuel meter gauge won't reset after full tank.

Just picked up a 2006 S500 4Matic. I have an extensive mechanical background,, but this is my first Benz. Unless you count my Frieghtliner with the Mercedes' made DD15. Hoping to tap into the knowledge base here if I have problems. I learned a long time ago to recognize what I don't know, and not be too proud to ask. Really hoping to not have to bother anyone anytime soon as this looks to be very meticulously maintained.

U1700 OM352a engine fuel pump tweak

Hello everyone. I had a quick search but could not find much on the topic. So here's the query. I've lifted the cab (and hope not to have to do it again !!). So I thought I'd give the fuel pump a little tweak. I have already fitted a new stock turbo, 3.5 to 4" free flowing exhaust stack, and intercooler. Linden Martin here in NSW has already posted via Facebook some very helpful data on how to adjust the bottom small screw which is the stop point for the lever that attaches to the rack to... I over torqued the power steering high pressure banjo bolt and of course broke it in half, one half still embedded in the rack. Anybody know where I can find a 19 mm banjo bolt replacement? I can't find a part number anywhere. Newbie in trouble, please help.

startup issues with warm engine

I've been having an intermittent issue where when the car is warm (not cold or hot) the car will startup, struggle for a bit and the shut down. However, once it's started back up again, it runs just fine. It just takes a couple restarts Steps I've taken to try and resolve the issue 1. Replaced all spark plugs 2. Replaced all spark plug wires 3. Replaced fuel filter 4. Replace fuel pumps 5. Replaced distributor cap 6. Map update

I purchased a navigation update from command online for my 2013 e class. It came as a usb stick with the code. I plug it in to my car and up on the screen came the nav system that was already installed with the new system and date that was going to be installed. the system asked for the installation key which I dually entered and the installation started. 5hrs later, with the engine still running, all I am getting is, reading data.
