I've spent the past week trying to correct the transmission leaks on my 1987 420SEL. I replaced the crush washers on the various test ports, replaced the shifter shaft seal, installed a new transmission pan and gasket, and replaced an o-ring on an undocumented shaft (passenger side) which serves as a pivot point and internal attachment for the bowden cable.
