Another newbie question - Timing Chain

A quick recap of my situation. I bought a 1975 450SL two weeks ago. It has 133,000 miles and no indication of the timing chain being replaced. Last week, I did a valve lash adjustment on it. The condition under the covers was great overall, the previous owner must have been pretty good about regular maintenance. However, the chain was loose on the right hand side (facing the engine.) So much so that it has slapped the aluminum near the cam gear and worn a chain shaped profile in it. So... Another newbie question - Timing Chain
