I think I need to give up. I've tried and I can't figure this one out. Radio, climate control, don't work. If I could find a shop in Southern California I would take it to them.

Mercedes 220 SEb front windscreen chrome

Good afternoon all. Can somebody point me towards a service or a solution to get my front windscreen chrome surround refitted? I had all of the bright work rechromed, but nobody wants to tackle the trim on the curved front windscreen. Had three refusals so far. I am based in London SW15. Thank you Andrew

Confusing wipers with gear shifter

My wife just had to have a gla250. It's 2019 with 15,000 miles. Other day, she tried using the windshield wipers and the car slammed into park because she confused the side ( other car had windshield wipers on the right side). She was traveling at low speed. Is this normal? Is there a fail safe for this to happen at a higher rate of speed? Also, the car did the same thing while I opened the door at a drive through. Any advice appreciated. I hate this car.

2020 GLE350 extended warranty

Guys , I passed 50k mark and can't purchase MB extended warranty . What is the best extended warranty company for MB? I called my dealership and they said no extended warranty is good because they don't pay MB labor rate and you have to pay the difference on any repair not approved by extended warranty company. what is best reputable company to purchase extended warranty ? please advise Thanks

Hey guys I have an 05 E500, I love it's a great car but I was wondering how hard would it be to replace the engine with an E55 motor, I know you'll going to say "Just sell and get an E55" but where I live the E55 is WAY more more than double. Photo DIY: Upper Control Arm R/R

After nearly 200k Miles of service.... the Front Upper Control Arms (UCA's) were in need of change. Symptoms?? Very slight steering wheel vibration at around 50 mph. After lifting wheel, and checking for free-play, this is what I encountered: Because I had recently replaced Lower Control Arm Bushings, and Lower Supporting Joint, plus re-packing/adjusting the wheel bearings to spec... the only 'Logical' component which would explain a 12/6 o'clock... Front camber adjustment due to lowering further than factory spec can handle

I've not been on this forum for a while and I seem to have missed some goings on? I took a 1994 SL 320 as a trade on a car I was selling a few years ago. The more I drove it the more I liked it. It HAS had expensive issues.....trans, heater matrix, and head gasket....but all is currently well, except for the apparently typical leaking roof rams. While putting it on, I accidentally pressed on on the i.p. shut off. It made an odd noise and stayed in the down position no matter what I did. MY2007 W211 E550 Sport Mercedes Benz.

I have an Australian (RHD) W211 E550 Sport and my right headlight just stopped working, I have swapped the left side headlight to the right side and it still doesn't work. I have had the car inside for 2 years, however, it was started every week without any problems, the centre of the speedometer says "low beam headlight problem". Any help would be much appreciated. W211 E270 headlight cluster failure

All the headlight cluster on the passenger side (I'm in the UK by the way!) has decided not to switch on. That's headlight, high beam, sidelight, fog light and indicator. The driver's side works fine as do all the rear lights and the indicators in the side mirrors. The dealer said he would like to take it in to investigate but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can suggest a fix. Thank you

Trick to open stuck glove box on 2003 SL500 !?

I saw a "how-to " on here of how to open a stuck glove box, but when I took of my side panel, it didn't look the same and have a "tension adjustment" mechanism. I have attached a photo. After replacing all 4 wheel speed sensor, I recently (about a hundred miles of bliss no fault light driving 😢) had the ESP light (ONLY esp, no abs light) come up a few times. Scanner gives the following codes: 5967 Power supply High Pressure Pump 5938 Check component 6001 The supply voltage of the control unit is too low (stored - most likely from battery replacement, but I cant seem to erase it?) Battery is good (12.7V cold before start, 14.1V engine running). Are the ABS pump motors... Repairing ABS Motor?

2000 ML430 Leaking Fuel between filler neck and tank please help.

Hello Everyone, I'm new here. Have a 2000 ML430 and am leaking fuel between the filler neck and the tank itself. It looks like there is a round tanish/white piece that the filler neck connect to to enter the tank. It only leaks when the vehicle is started and subsides when the vehicle is off. Does anyone have any recommendations or maybe a part number for the plastic piece that connect to the tank? Or should I just replace the whole tank? Clicking noise during left turn

2013 R350 BlueTEC 4 MATIC, Canada I hear a clicking noise during a left turn. I jacked up the front left tire yesterday tried to shake it in all directions, no moves at all. I hear a clicking noise during a left turn. I jacked up the front left tire yesterday tried to shake it in all directions, no moves at all. I removed the tire and check all the bushings, tire rod, control arm, etc., didn't see any damages. Power steering fluid is full.

Oil Cooler Replacement Cost on W221 M278

Anyone know what it cost to replace the oil cooler on the M278 engine in the W221. My car is a 2013 S550 and I see drips of blue antifreeze mixed with oil all over the bottom of the bottom pully on driver side just below the oil cooler, so its my guess that maybe the oil cooler is leaking and needs replacing. Approximate cost at dealership? Is it easy to do it yourself?

C230 Kompressor. Even more winning!

Induction & Shifter. Just a little update (on my previous thread '98 C230 Kompressor (manual) Sport ) Decided to enclose the CAI, basically put a lid on it instead of it sealed against the underside of the hood. This has reduced noise from the S/C which is exactly what I wanted but not hindering inlet air flow. The two inlets still remain, 75 and 52 mm. It took more time than I anticipated - an... 1979 W123 Coupe Distributor Cap Change..

Hi All Having had my baby (1979 230 C) a little while now, already changed gearbox oil/filter, oil/filter, air filter, sparks. Brakes are good. In late 2020 I inherited my dad's old 300TE Wagon. It's a 1993 M104.992 with good 'ol HFM injection. He couldn't use it anymore because the reverse gear went out on it. '15 W222 parts needed to replace grill 360 degree camera mechanism

I have a 2015 S63. Although my front grille doesn't have a single scratch on it, it appears that my grille camera mechanism is damaged; when you put the car in reverse, the camera displays an image, and then an X appears in the image (see photo) and the camera drops down. What parts do I need to get the front 360 degree camera mechanism to work properly (excluding the camera)?

500 SL running bad at low RPM

Hello, I drive a European 500SL from 1987, and I have 2 minor issues : cold start is not ideal (4-5 sec with some gas) engine is running "square" at 1200-1500 rpm with lack of power, it comes alive above this rpm I think the KE Jetronic is mechanically OK, the distributor is recently checked and seals are replaced, and also a new coldstart valve and pressure regulator. Consumption is reasonable (15 L/km). Injectors are cleaned and new seals. I also put in 8 new spark... 500 SL running bad at low RPM

Just got a hold C240 with 112000 miles and some maintenance records. I have changed oil (Mobil One 0W-40), tranny fluid (Shell ATF 134), and the differential (Valvoline SYN 75-95). After I went to road test and during the test the engine is making big noise than before on 2 banks. W124 Cab Back Deck Faded

I was doing some interior trim and leather cleaning today and after trying to take a few spots off the back deck with the cleaner (Car Guys interior stuff) I noticed some grey smudges in the black. After trying to remove what I though was residue, most of the back deck is now showing a lot of sun fade. Before the wipe down with water and microfiber, the deck has a nice sheen and looked in great shape. Now it looks like it spent 10 years sitting in the desert. Are there any products that... I bought a 2009 e350 literally yesterday and that code has no showed. I have absolutely no knowledge on the engine (yet) but am familiar with German cars in general. I had purchased the 09 since it fixed the balance shaft/sprocket issue, but it seems my code says there is something wrong with timing. I figured I'd have a little more time to figure out the engine before having problems, but it seems I got unlucky. Did I get scammed? Maybe, but the codes haven't been reset for 370 miles so it... 09 e320 Dual Mass Air Flow Sensor - Limping?

Hey everyone I have a 2009 E320 bluetech - diesel, 65K. I recently started experiencing occasional limp mode while driving after having excelled really quickly. The system told me I needed a mask airflow sensor replaced and of course I did that. Since that replacement I feel like it's occurring more regularly. My assumption is that it's a bad airflow sensor that they installed? The error for the Mass Airflow Sensor still shows...any thoughts? Vaccum leak?

Perhaps a long shot, but I will humbly ask. I had to replace the Multifunction Relay (N10) on my 92 300sl due to stuck turn signal, however the wiring 21 pin connector was in bad shape and no longer holding the wires in place. As such, I need a wiring schematic depicting the proper wiring placement. I signed up for AllData, so far futile. Any leads will be immensely welcomed.

M119 Valve Cover Bolts

This is ridiculous. Can't find these on any site. I would like originals, only need 1 or 2. The outer driver side screw at the firewall stripped when trying to get it out. Luckily, the Irwin 5/8" extractor barely got in there and I was able to take it out. To boot, the screws appear to have been over-torqued, might explain the leaking. Tricky area there with the fuel and misc other hoses. Anyway, I found these M6 x 1.0 in 35mm length (the originals are 32mm) and measured the hole, they... M119 Valve Cover Bolts

2003 W209 320 convertible - interior lights

New to all this, so please bear with me being a half-wit! I've just acquired a 27k mile 2003 W209 CLK that has sat in a garage for a while, so lots of odd "lack-of-use" issues that I'm trying to sort. OM602 Timing

Hello everyone, it's been a while since my last posts but I'm happy to say the 602 rebuild is coming along (mostly) well. I was able to save the crankshaft and find oversize bearings. I now have the head, camshaft, and injector pump on but now I'm stumped on how to time it. My main concern is what position the injector pump is in. If I remember correctly it has to be 14 degrees? But I didn't mark it when I took it off (I know I should have now but I didn't realize that when I took it off... OM602 Timing

I have a 2015 E350 4Matic Wagon and recently I have noticed a subtle clunking that seems to be in the front suspension. The car currently has about 107,000 miles on it and I replaced the sway bar links on the front with Delphi replacement parts at about 99,000 miles. What is the procedure for checking to see if these need to be relpaced on the front or rear? Thanks!

2008 mercedes benz s63 amg car only starts in neutral

Hello i just got this 2008 w221 s63 amg and the car only starts in neutral and sometimes you have to take the key in and out a couple of times to get it to start in neutral it does nothing when u try to start in park please help the guy i bought from believes its a computer in the trans but im not sure which computer/part or if thats even the problem at all please help also my two passenger side windows dont work.

For those in Europe: W204 C63 AMG in red and estate.

I'm in Canada and this has been my dream car. We have a 15 year rule so can import this very soon. I'm specifically looking for this in red. How hard is it to find and where should I look? I've been lurking in mobile.de but nothing in red has come up. Any tips would be helpful!

Rear axle noise

Hello, I wonder if anyone may comment on this. First off, this is an overview of the car. W123, manufactured 1985 in Thailand. 3.69 diff. Toyota 1jz vvti and matching autobox. A 3.92 diff would be better. Rear suspension has rubber collars with 4 bumps, I think the rear is too high. I have new 2 bump ones i hope to get fitted Here goes. W204 2008 Command Controller not working at all. - Not usual shaft fault…

Hi guys, hope you can help. I have a 2008 w204, and the command controller has stopped working completely, not just the scroll function, basically it's dead! is There a fuse that supports the controller, or would it be best to remove and fit another one. many thanks. Graham.

Injection Nozzle Mercedes R107

Hi I have a defect Injection Nozzle on my Mercedes 350SL (California import with 450SL engine) (R107) from 1972. Car no. 10.704.412.003.361. I am not 100% sure on what part number the Nozzle has and i can not find any dealers how have it on stock, that send to Denmark I have found a Mercedes part no: 000 078 34 23 and have several options of Bosch numbers Bosch nr 0 280 150 024 Bosch nr 0 280 150 034 Bosch nr 0 280 150 036 Can any one help please? br Ole Koch

Temperature is not constant

Hello everyone, few weeks ago I bought CLS 350 CDI year 2011, when I drive it on highway with 1500 rpm the temperature decreasing between 70 and 80 degrees, when riding on higher rpm increases to 90 and if I depress the gas pedal it goes back to lower temperature. Does anyone have issues like this or it's normal? Please, any suggestions will be helpfully.

638 Short Beam Dashboard indicator

Hello, I am the new Vito 638 owner, 2003 Vito Marco Polo, My question is about the short beam dashboard indicator, My Vito doesn't have any short beam light on the dashboard so when I light on my short beams they work but I don't see any indicator on the dashboard, When I light on the Long beams I can see the blue indicator. Any suggestion or idea? thanks a lot

Distributor shaft o ring oil leak W123 200 M115
