Lubrication problem

Customer complain about little noise at top of engine on 2 banks at beginning. When comme to me I propose to change oil and filter. I did the oil and filter change. After I went to road test and during the test the engine is making big noise than before on 2 banks. When return back i opened the rocker cover for 2 banks I found high deposit of carbon dust in the covers and rockers. I cleaned covers and rockers with detergent and air blower gun.
