Mono Valve (Heater valve) location / replacement on R129 SL600

Noticed there was no heat in the cabin, cold ambient air only, even on max heat setting. Reading around that the mono valve is usually to blame, benz part number 1147412049 and 0018300684. Does anyone know off hand where this is located on the M120 R129's? Ordered the pump and will upload some pics of the job forthcoming.

Hello! I have just about all the gremlins worked out in the new (old) '73 450SL. Since I pulled out my center console I decided I'd investigate my lack of footwell air. I got a MighyVac and disconnected the elbows on the solenoid switch and pulled a vacuum. Stations 7,6,5, and 4 held a vacuum (and I could hear the pods actuate for some - some pods would actuate just once). Station 3 didn't hold a vacuum. I pulled the pod out and tested it, and that held true. Stations 1 and 2 did not hold a vacuum. I pulled both of the recirculation vacuum pods and tested them outside... 2007 2006 AMG SL55 shock difference

I recently bought a 2007 AMG SL55, come to find out it has a 2006 right rear shock and a 2006 left front shock I'm sure there must be a big difference due to the price of these years. This is my first SL55 that I seared for over a long time I waned the 2007 cause of all the latest features. Can someone tell me what the difference is in these shocks cause I'm looking at another $3600. to replace the two 2006 shocks.

Which way does yours curve?

I purchased a more intact under-dash trim piece. I'm a little surprised how different the compressed cardboard pieces appear. Each curve in different directions. The newer one seems correct. BTW don't try to reshape them. They crack very easily. 4 months into my interior refurbishment. It seems like every part I take off, I find another cracked part or wonky weird repair.

Hello from VA everyone. I just purchased a 1998 E320 off a friend of mine. It's the oldest car I've owned and by far the one with the most problems. Looking forwards to diving into it and getting to fix it up! I am the last person in my family to buy an MB. My mom has always had one for as long as I can remember, my dad has had one for probably 15 years, and my brother got a C class in 2020.

Having installed a new head unit, it showed up the poor quality of the B180s standard (non-HK) one way door speakers. A bit of research that helped me before I dismantled them was at the link below. Head gasket

I've pulled the head on my 2006 S430 and found some scarring seen in the pictures below. I was advised to sand it smooth with high grit wet or dry sandpaper which I have done( I have a slight amount left). Hand sanded with 800 grit wet or dry for about 45 minutes. I have a straight edge arriving tomorrow. Anyone had this happen?

What bumpers belong on ML350 Special Ed?

So got "front rear-ended" and this has made me realize I'm not sure what front bumper actually belongs to my vehicle. Being a 2005 ML350 Special edition I know that its supposed to have the headlight washers but my existing bumper they bondo'd over those. Actually need rear bumper too someone parked a little too close recently. I know from experience that junkyard is useless since these bumpers are way too brittle from age. Actually found a few choices on rock auto so hence my questions... What bumpers belong on ML350 Special Ed?

Hi and Happy Holidays, I searched briefly but... I have a 2 year old C250 and there are 2 rough circles on the underside of the rear view mirror. One of them seems to act as an internal light that illuminates the COMAND knob and surrounding area. My question is, should both areas be lights as only 1 is currently lit, and other than the internal dim switch are these lights controlled by anything, i.e. can I turn them/it off? Hi, everyone, recently I finally decide to fix my stuck sunroof (can only tilt up and down, no forward and back), after I remove the glass and dissemble everything, I realize my cable is rust inside the track (since the cable won't move all the way to the front point, I have to cut a tiny piece of track to remove it). Hey all, this is my first post and question. I just bought a 07 C230 Sport and couple miles out the dealer check engine light through for thermostat and gasket. I went and forked up 1200 to Mercedes of fairfield, I know I got soaked in fees, but it does guarantee it was done right and 2 year warranty! We then drove back up north in a rainstorm, my lady and I are opposites on temperature when I'm driving, I hate the heat and she hates the cold. Cl55 AMG Boot Lid Problem

hi i have a 2002 CL55K AMG with power boot lid. in the last few weeks i noticed the electric motor was struggling to get the boot to rise more than 1cm but didn't think anything of it as it has always been temperamental. I had just been letting it come up 1cm and then pushing the button with my hand to gently help it to get about 20% of the way and it goes up by itself. However a few days ago when i tried to close the boot (never had any problems before) there was a noticeable clank noise... Cl55 AMG Boot Lid Problem

Transmission shifts oddly

I am hoping some one has encountered this. My transmission is not shifting from second to third and third to forth correctly. The engine will rev up like the transmission is disengaging from one speed before engaging the next speed. I have changed the fluid and filter, completely draining the torque converter. Hi folks, A few months ago I purchased a w211 E200 CDI (year 2003, sedan) with automatigóc transmission. After 250kms, the engine started to shake and black smoke come out from the exhaust muffler. Rear LED Brake Light assembly

I have discovered my left rear brake light LED array is out. Are all W211 LED lights or are some incadescent bulb type. Also I am wondering why the whole LED array has failed. LEDs tend to fail individually so am wondering if there is another cause behind the whole array failing.

This option was just a final model year one, correct? 05 at PnP has this and I am debating if I want to grab the trim from the car while I'm there this week. Who knows if it'll even be there. My interior is grey and I normally only see this on tan (saffron?) interiors. Curious what it looks like or if anyone's swapped it? I think it would look a little....soft on the ML but that's not saying I am a fan of the current wood trim in my 05 (anthracite burled walnut). I like it on the shifter... Hello, I have a 1988 560SEL with 158,000 miles that is stalling after about a minute. Here is what happens: The car starts up fine, but then after about a minute, the economy gauge starts to creep into the red zone, the idle becomes progressively rough, and by the time the economy gauge is almost completely to the right, the engine finally dies, unless I keep pushing down on the gas pedal. I recently bought a 2004 ML350 which quite old and was told the radio did not work. I was playing with it and it came on and played for about 3 days and went silent about a wee k later it played again and now nothing. I am thinking of buying an after market radio with gps.The car came with empty navigation cd case which makes me think it may have GPS. Is there a way to tell? When the radio did work it does have the slot for CD. Any information will be a help. Thanks

Hello guys. So my w203's rear suspension is knocking when going on bad road not bumps only on bad roads pothoals etc. so my question is. What can knock on this??? I have already changed, shock absorvers, springs, subframe bushes, every control arm is in good condition, changed the arb and anti roll bar bushes even tried the car without anti roll bar. Hi guys so heres my problem I took off everything from the top to get to my startermotor all the plastic etc then realised it was the battery that was flat I put all the airflow and plastic back on and noticed I had 7 bolts spare lol I started it and got oil pressure warning turn car off , I put oil in it cos the dipstick was empty and it come straight out the bottom I think I have to get those bolts back on but idk which bolt goes where lol nor do I have the tools to donit cos its so tight... Hello, just wondering about my 1990 190e 2.6, My cars temperature stays about a bit over 80 degrees Celsius, pretty normal I think, but during long traffic, it can go 100+ degrees like the needle points between 120 and the empty line above 80, which I think that's like 110 degrees I guess? And I was scared that the radiator fan was not spinning but I heard they are not supposed to run all the time anyway So I'm wondering if I need to replace any parts or is my car fine? Vito Starter motor constantly running. Kicks in while driving

Hi everyone, I'm a new user in a desperate need for some help!!! In a nutshell: the new starter motor kicks back in and starts running while driving the van! I stop the van, turn the ignition off, take the key out and it's still running. I have to disconnect the battery lead to stop the starter motor. Hey. It's been awhile. I have recently moved to Florida. i became interested in upping the power of my om602 so, I made a simple propane injection kit with a switch, 4 pin relay, roller switch and a motorized valve along with a propane regulator and small tank. It works like a charm and definitely increases power, however, my regulator pisses out propane if I turn up the pressure too high. I am tuning a full time system so pressure doesn't build up. In the secret world of tuning where no one shares any info, I came across this about the Ford Focus RS (but the concept applies to the SLK). The Focus uses a turbo & wastegate, and the SLK uses a supercharger & bypass valve. The car made around 300ps, and even after mods it still made the same power as the wastegate was being opened as the airmass limit was being hit. The only way to fix it is via chiptuning or to modify the MAF signal. In his case, he added a restistor to the MAF signal... Air mass limiter info

Gents, I'm about to redo my exhaust on the 1550 with a batch of 3" tubing I've had for an other project. My question is, is 3" sufficient for this motor from front to back, or should I size up? I'm not planning on upping the boost or tweaking the IP, in fact the only engine mod I plan on is to inner-cool it which shouldn't add to the exhaust volume output, or would it? I really don't want to buy additional exhaust pipe when I've got this perfectly good assortment of 3" in front of me. Now... SBU exhaust

I can't find it!

Car, 2006 350 SLK; ntg1 factory head unit replaced it with science head unit and it's great. The ntg1 unit only had a few connections around the back...I can't find\figur out how to get the steering wheel controls to work, somebody help! I just need some straight talk, I know it can be done but I can't seem to get it right.
