I wanted to adjust the headlamps in our W164 2011 ML350. The explanation below seems straightforward.
When I turn #3 adjustment screw that headlamp pattern moves up or down, but when I turn #2 screw (on either side) it doesn't seem to shift the pattern? (I note they both have the same description: "Vertical Adjustment Screw")
The instructions say to turn both screws simultaneously (and interestingly, they also have different pitches?)
Admittedly, I am not in a clean pristine environment...
Headlight adjustment W164 - What does the outboard screw control?
