So I have done a bit of work and tear down on my benz this summer.
I took out the timing chain tensioner, then later on reinstalled it, to the best of my ability. I had the right bank valve cover off and had someone lifting the timing guide rail, so I could install the tensioner, it was difficult, even stripped the threads slightly but it still held tightly. After reconnecting everything and then starting the car, there was bad oil leak, and bad timing slap sound. I double checked again and...
