I have been running a C3 (serial port) multiplexer with Dell D630 and D830 laptops (which of course have serial ports) for years. I have been looking at C4 and C5 multiplexers for a friend who wants a STAR Diagnostic System. I told him that I wasn't familiar enough with VMware and virtual machines to want to get into helping him do a system with a newer laptop. Yeah, I know - but at 79, I'm just not interested.
That did start me thinking. C3= serial port = old laptop. C4=newer laptop...
