W140 low on power

Hi frends, it's me again with another problem... My 500 sel is reeeally low on power and torque when I put it in Drive. On a hill, I literally have to floor to get some power, however it's pretty okay when I put it 2nd mode, although not great. The car is currently misfiring pretty bad so I don't know if it's up to the ignition system or something else... Could it be a trans problem or engine problem?
