For anyone interested if you ever encounter same problem.A long post but worth reading.

The Problem: CEL came on.Limp mode, car jerks when shifting. Wont shift back to 'P' from "D" unless vehicle turned off. No spillage history, clarified by opening shifter area.
Dealer Diagnosis: ESM Faulty. Replaced Shifter assembly.
