Muffler delete vs Secondary Cat delete

2003 SL500... Wondering what you guys think is the best option (muffler delete vs Secondary Cat delete) to get that throaty growl? Stock just sounds too quiet for that motor. Also...will a secondary cat delete throw up any codes or fail emissions if I go that route?
