(OOPSIE--I didn't mean COMPETITION, I should have said PERFORMANCE. Sorry for any confusion.)
I've read conflicting accounts if it is worth it or not to try and shorten shifts without a full SSK. What I could tell is that the MP knob is a decent amount shorter and through basic math, that will shorten the amount traveled.
The '17 I tested a while back seemed like the throw was huuuuuuuuge. (Coming from a Focus RS with a SSK, which was miata-like and absolutely superb.) I'm not interested in paying > $500 for an SSK and installation, as it's not a DIY job, from what I could tell.
I'd appreciate input either way.
Thanks!
Daniel
