I have recently decided to keep my 2004 C240 (190,000 miles) until I have to have it towed to the junk yard. Other than a new transmission last year (part of the reason to keep it) it has been surprisingly inexpensive to maintain (I do all my own work for the minor stuff - brakes, oil/filter changes, plugs, etc.).
