2017 250 CLA 4Matic - Tinny, Clanking Sound at Startup on Occasions

Howdy All: I recently purchased a CPO 2017 250 CLA. I love the car except it randomly makes a tinny, clanking sound for a fraction of a second just as the starter engages. This does NOT sound good to me but the dealership says it's normal which I have a very hard time believing. Sounds like a damaged fly wheel or starter to me or maybe something is loose. My stepson had a 2016 250 CLA and he says his car never made this kind of sound. Anybody have the same problem?
