2015 ML350 4-Matic 6 cyl.
I just had a coolant line break off the firewall in front of the driver (Left side). The bead end of the plastic barb remained in the hose. I tried to pull it out with a small diameter metal rod with a 90 on the end, it was not moving. I squeezed the hose (very little force) and the plastic end that remained inside the hose just crumbled.
I was able to push the hose back on about 1/2" and clamp it with a standard worm gear hose clamp just to get the vehicle...
