I am/was going to change my 2002 E320 Wagon fuel tank strainer p/n 1114700686, but I'm just not seeing how it does any 'straining' at all. Hoping I'm just not seeing something obvious.
Attached are pictures of the strainer. There is no provision for a fuel tank exit hose (that would normally go to the fuel pump) in the bottom of the strainer, like I've seen on other models.
