Mu Vito 108CDI has the dreaded 3000RPM limit. Doesn't happen all the time and normally a restart solves it. I didn't even notice it as I very rarely over 3000RPM!!!
Anyway, took it to the mechanic to put on computer and came back with the following fault codes
P0100 Air Mass Meter (hot film)
P1482 Glow Output Stage
P1481 Glow Plug
P1470 Boost Pressure Regulator
P1330 Starter Control
