2011 R230 24K miles engine light on after 3-month storage

I just received my car via Mercury Transport after a 3 month storage in Las Vegas. We moved from LV to Yulee, Florida (20 min north of Jacksonville). I had a friend get the car out of storage in LV and turn it over to the transporter. He states all was ok when he drove it to his home for pickup except that the car would not lock. After transport unload, I started the car and the engine light was on, and it did not lock.
