Damaged gear box A160 W168 2002 hatchback

Love my car but seems like beyond repair. Am thinking of buying a used gearbox and engine from Japan + other parts. On the internet one can buy a complete functional car at usd 400 or less. Want to buy one, dismantle and export it as used car parts. But have failed to get a160w168 yr 2002 Question 1. Which year of manufacture have similar engine and gear box ie 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006… (these are mostly available)
