Just got home from a week away, drove about 1200 miles. Mostly highway driving (1000 miles) and then a bunch of in-town traffic. Averaged about 28 mpg on the first 500 mile leg, but on the return leg, we had terrible traffic on I-95, with lots of slow miles, and mileage dropped to about 26 mpg. In town was awful due to a lot of short trips and lots of stop and go: 16 mpg.
