Two days ago I bought a 1990 Mercedes 420sel and it has a couple of issues one of them being that the bracket on the hood release handle was broken but the handle was still connected to the cable so if I got the angle just right I could still pop the hood, now I've tried so many times and it just won't go, I've tried yanking it pretty hard with some pliers too but nothing so I was wondering if there's a way to get it open from the grill without breaking anything or from underneath the car...
