Package tray original color

I'm reconditioning a 1998 w210 E320 sedan. Outside silver inside grey. The package tray is badly faded (see pic). Under the headrests it's kind of a charcoal color. The exposed area is a purplish grey mess. Is the original color black or some lighter shade? I see spray on automotive carpet dye in black, charcoal, and gray and want to try that. And what about those speaker grills? Should be same color? Thanks in advance.
