Interior blower control issue 1999 S500

Hello Board I have an issue with the interior blower control. Had a non-functioning blower motor. Troubleshooting made it clear that the control panel sends from about 0.5 volts to about 5 volts to the controller. the motor will run off an external power supply. Changed the controller and the issue seemed to be resolved. However when the car has been sitting unused for a day or two, the blower will not run.
