Help! W220 Part Identification (Transmission ? )

I park my 2002 S55 backwards in the garage and was slowly driving down my driveway. I slowly pressed on the brake as I got to the bottom of the driveway, and noticed it felt a little weird, but overall it was okay. Afterwards, I got out and saw this part I'm the driveway. Is it a piece from the transmission? I'm wondering which part this is. Overall the car appears to drive fine, but I want help identifying where it came from.
