Where does this pipe go?

A big greeting to all members, I'm new here, I don't really know how this works. I have one question, I'm interested in where does this pipe go, and what is it for? There was a plug over it, but it probably fell off due to the high temperature, before that it was sealed probably with some sealing compound. I found the plug. Can i re-glue and caulk? There is no leakage of any liquid. The pipe is located on the left side of the engine under the air filter hose and in front of the transmission... Where does this pipe go?
