W108 sunroof not opening

New to me 72 280sel The sunroof motor does make a noise when I try to open but doesn't open. Car has been sitting for a while. I don't want to hold the button for too long and not burn the motor. Where can I start troubleshooting? Is there a lubrication point or something. thank you
