Just curious to see if this is normal and no real problem. The Metal Rescue (similar to Evaporust) took care of what minimal rust and ethanol residue was pooled in a small bottom section. Otherwise, the inside of the tank looks great.
The flap the gas station fuel nozzle goes through, and that general outlet area is discolored with rust over time. Considering there wasn't a real rust problem in the tank itself, the fuel sending unit and tank screen/filter were tinged with red oxide powder...
