Noisy lower dashboard HVAC Aspirator Fan

Greetings all My cabin aspirator fan (the one next to the AC switches) is very noisy - buZZZZZes continuously like an angry Bee.🐝🐝🐝 I've read somewhere that the cause is either dirt / dust ingress or a rattling plastic casing which can be cleaned / secured, but it's NOT recommended to squirt lubricant in there (as it will mess up the electrics?).
