Solution to my P1444 Code Problem

I have been having a recurring P1444 code on my 1996 C280. Well we finally got to the bottom of it - see photos. The culprit was a 5" long rubber hose going between the purge valve and the Diagnostic Module sensor. (It is shown marked in yellow in the Emission system diagram) Both are located near the windshield washer reservoir.
