GLC300 55,000 miles

I have a 2017 GLC 300 and the engine light came on for the second time in a couple of years. The first time it was a an emission problem but under warranty. This time out of warranty by 4 months and 5,000 miles. Problem was the vent valve po52e71 (another emission problem). Took it to the dealership...part cost $376, labor $1400. Judging by the labor cost it must have taken over 8 hours to fix. I guess I should have asked more questions when I was told what it would cost but there really... GLC300 55,000 miles
