I recently inherited a 1976 450 SL from my grandfather. It hasn't been run in a couple years and needs a decent restoration job. I was wondering if you guys knew of any shops that won't overcharge and will do a good job. It doesn't have to be show quality. I just wanted to restore it for sentimental reasons. I just moved to the inland empire and I called around here and a lot of the shops cost an arm and a leg just for the evaluation.
I really want to get started on the restoration...
