I recently bought 2007 ml63.
The third light Failure message was on.
I removed third Light and found it was unplugged.
I plugged in to find it lit after a short time but stayed on even when car was shut off and all other lights off.
Additionally it did not work with brake lamp only running light mode.
I unplugged.
A day latter the license plate lights also stayed on with car off. It has been raining here the past few days and sense it may be rear SAM.
Any help would be appreciated.
