Condition for fault memory entry
Yes, by event counter. Fault must occur ten times before a
fault memory entry is made.
Action in service
Determine whether fault is stored again after carrying out
the following procedure. If yes: Replace DME.
1. Clear fault memory
2. Ignition off, allow vehicle to assume complete dormant
status
3. Ignition on
4. Read out stored fault codes from fault memory
