I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2017 X5 xDrive35i and I typically listen to all of my own music via a USB flash drive instead of adding it to the music collection option in the vehicle's iDrive. I am using the same USB flash drive that was in my 2012 328i which could see all of the music I had uploaded on there. When I plugged in this flash drive into the X5, most of the music on the flash drive does not appear. Also if I keep the flash drive in the USB port when I return to drive the car another time, the iDrive randomly includes/excludes songs and song folders from the previous time I drove it. Could this possible be caused by my flash drive being a 3.0 drive instead of being a newer 3.1 or due to the new iDrive software? Please help!! Thanks.
