98 SLK230 PSE Pump Replace now horn on Start

I have an slk230 with a faulty PSE pump, which I have replaced on other SLKs in the past. I replaced this PSE pump and everything worked properly except when turning the key to start I get one beep from the horn when the key hits position 2. I thought it could be a faulty PSE pump so I ordered another new one and put it in with the same problem.
