QUESTION ABOUT HIGH/ LOW CONTROL FOR TRANSFER CASE

I know that there is a switch and a control motor that connects to the transfer case but is there a relay between the switch and the motor? If so if the relay is bad would it cause a blinking light on the dash? By the way the motor at the transfer case has been replaced earlier this year
