Some of us are cursed with the late model instrument cluster dimmer switch. Many people say that the later style ones are unserviceable, which is mostly true, but an easy to fix problem is that the solder joints will crack on the back female terminals. If you have no lights, and you pull your dimmer and it rattles, this is probably the culprit.
