I've noticed I have a whining noise coming from the passenger side of the car. It does not vary with speed or RPM's so my thought is it has to be some type of electric motor. It is only present when the car is running, I do not think it's the fuel pump as I can hear that come on for a few seconds when I turn the key and it's sounds different, and I just replaced it 2 years ago.
