1995 W124 Cab with M104 Engine. On cold start, there is a "hum" sound that fades away gradually during warm-up. Car operates fine. I usually wait until the sound fades away before backing out of the garage.
Could it simply be normal operation of the cold start valve? Or a sign that valve (or something else) is failing? I did a search but came up empty.
