I've been restoring an '81 380SL for several months and it's finally roadworthy after fuel delivery system replacement, tank screen and sending unit replacement, rear shocks, springs and sway bar links, and linkage bushings.
I just discovers that the dash instrument lights don't work, and the odometer works sometimes but not all the time. The question I have is whether the instrument panel is pressed in and removable from the front after removing the steering wheel without removing screws.
