E320cdi 06

My keys goes to 2nd step, light comes on, nothing happens. Then after some tries it starts but i cant shift gear .if it goes to drive ,it won't go to R .then i have to switch off turn it to P it wont start again . And no one seems to know exact cause. Any help here. Its E320 cdi 06 . Thank you .
