NO clock adjustment, non operative cd, Options????

Good morning all, Tried to update time last week, could not! Cd stopped reading since last fall. I tried to reach out via the Fix thread, unfortunately it is closed. Dealer offered fix via cd player, no luck there. So!!!!! Could the update be done through mp3 player? I'm assuming it is basically a card reader. If not, any thoughts or suggestions as to possible fixes? Also looking for options on cd player!! No sure if there are any. I have great respect for all of you who contribute...
