Adjusting parking brakes

I tried to find a thread about DIY adjust my parking brake but didn't find anything. I have a 2001 S55 with 70,000, well maintained. If I park the car up hill or down hill and apply the parking brakes they don't hold as supposed to. How do I adjust the parking brakes? My brother can do that for me. Laura
