W246, change display

I have a 2012 Mercedes W246 with an original small display. I want to adapt this to a large original MB display. I bought a display of a year of construction 2018. To connect this, another 8-pin plug had to be changed that has a different shape. Only 4 cables are used on the old 8-pin plug. I transferred the cables exactly like this to a new 8-pin plug in the same place. Unfortunately this won't work. I have now put the old plug and display back. But now the display won't work.
