I daily drive a 2000 SL500. After buying 3 replacement antenna masts this year, I'm looking for an antenna that isn't as fragile as a bread stick.
I care more about functionality than I do originality. So I'd like to convert the telescoping mast to a stubby black rubber antenna or a short whip antenna.
I searched the forums and there's thousands of posts about antenna problems but I didn't see anyone that tried this solution.
Anyone have any experience with this...
