During my years of monkeying around with w126 Benz's I have come across many broken dead pedals (the driver footrest to the left of the brake pedal on LHD cars) The majority of these broken pedals is caused by either a poorly adjusted parking brake system, either worn out rear brake shoes or slack in the cable under the car to the rear.
