Blow fuse using right directional

Hey yall new to this page and was looking for some insight. I have a 1999 s320 with the 3.2l inline 6 with 150k. Before doing the rust work on the body I wasn't able to use my right directional without blowing the 20amp fuse. That issue randomly started happening out of nowhere. I did the rust work and pulled the tail lights so I could do all of it and now it constantly peeps at me when I'm driving down the road and I have no tail lights at all.
