Threshold / Door Sill issue on 2006 E320 Sedans

I am on a quest to find a solution to an issue on the 2006 W211 door sill. If you own this model you know that the fabric area by the door sill is unprotected and a constant cleaning issue. This was protected on the W210 models as shown in the photo (see red arrow). Does anyone know of a part that might work on the 2006 models?
