Hello all. I have a low-miles OM617.952 that I will be putting in my 85 300TD. I am in the process of getting it ready to install and will be applying a fresh coat of paint. I'm looking for some advice on prep - primer - paint options. What gloss level did MB use from the factory? Gloss? Satin?
I don't want to spend a ton of money but would like a good looking and durable finish. What have you guys had good luck with? Here are a few pictures of it's current state.
